Hi all,

I currently use a cromecast to cast apps like Netflix etc. through to a projector. Every app works a charm except Google TV which has no sound depending on what I am watching.
For example: I can watch a tv show called Constantine fine with audio but I can’t watch Law & Order because there is no sound.

Can someone help?

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the make and model of the mobile phone you're using to cast video content? When did the issue start? Where is the Chromecast connected to, is it in the projector? If yes, could you please plug it in directly to the HDMI port of your TV?

Give these steps a try:

Close and reopen the Google Play Movies & TV app.
Make sure your casting device (phone or tablet) has the latest version of the Google TV app or previously known as Google Play Movies & TV app.
Play a movie on the mobile device using the Google Play Movies & TV app.
Clear the cache and data of the Google Play Movies & TV app.
Reboot the mobile device, the Chromecast device, and the router.
Factory reset your Chromecast.
