Chromecast Remote Not Working

I have read some of the other posts regarding this problem. I copied and pasted below what I was reading: When it says go to Settings and then to Remotes and Accessories, I do not see the option to select "Remotes and Accessories." If I was able to find this, perhaps I could fix my problem. The remote turns the TV on and off and controls the volume on the TV, but we cannot change channels or use the voice control with the remote.

Download the Google TV app or Google Home app on your phone (You should be able to pair it with the Chromecast device).
Once done, using your phone to navigate, check for pending remote software updates. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Remote update > Continue. The remote may briefly disconnect during the software update.
Forget the Chromecast Voice Remote. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
Pair the remote. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Pair remote or accessory and follow the instructions on the TV.
Note: If applicable, you may also press the button on the Chromecast device for 1 second for the pairing to start.
Factory reset your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote.

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! Were you able to fix that Chromecast Remote issue? If not, I'd be happy to help you figure this out. Now, when you are looking for the Settings > Remotes and Accessories, are you doing so on the Chromecast with Google TV settings? If so, what model of Chromecast do you have?
