Chromecast with Google TV displaying only black and white

Today my chromecast with google tv started displaying only in black and white with no colors in any app, it had functioned perfectly for several months. This is only affecting the chromecast, no other functions of the tv and a;lso appears when moving the chromecast connection to different HDMI port.

Since you have already tried a different HDMI Port, then you have two routes you can take. One would be to simply factory reset the Chromecast and see if that works. Should it not work, you would want to try the Chromecast on another TV just to be sure its not your TV itself that has the issue, and then have the device RMAd from Google Support,, but let us hope that the factory reset does the trick!

fortunately (unfortunately for the knowledge) the issue resolved itself over the weekend with no solutions needing to be attempted, it disappeared as suddenly as it appeared, thanks for the help
