I have a question :

- is it better to switch off the chromcast when I don't use it ? if so, how to did it?

- While watching youtube on my TV, my smartphone's screen must be lightened, so its battery consumes a lot. Is there a tip not to switch on the smar phone's screen while watching a series youtube on TV ?

Hello there,

Awesome! It doesn't matter whether your Chromecast is on or off. The Chromecast device doesn't have a power button. If you turned off your TV completely, the Chromecast will also be off.

For your other concern, are you mirroring your phone's screen to your TV? If yes, it would be best to cast a video content from Chromecast-enabled apps so you can freely use your phone after casting. Learn more here.

Instead of mirroring your phone's screen, you can manually cast from the Chromecast-enabled apps such as YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, etc. You may check again this support website article to see how to cast video from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV.

I succeeded to cast from youtube, but I don't know how command the video : stop, advance, ...On the TV screen, it displays I can use the TV télécommand but I don't know how.
