Chromecast connection issues

Hi there. I'm having trouble with my Chromecast. It's tells me connected to device. Can't provide Internet. I've looked at a lot of other people having a similar issue and tried various solutions but it's like it simply rejects the wifi connection. My phone connects but not the network.
