Audio Issue When Casting a Google Meet

Hi!

There seems to be a bug in Google Meet when casting to a TV. If I fire up a YouTube video in Chrome and cast it to my Chromecast with Google TV, the video and audio play on the TV perfectly. If I am on a Google Meet and cast the meeting to my same device, video works, but no audio. Chrome browser is up to the latest build, as is the device.

Thoughts? Or am I waiting on a fix from Google?

Am I the only person having this issue? Maybe because I', the only one using Meet and casting at the same time?

Hello MurphME,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. When casting Google Meet to your Chromecast with Google TV (4k or HD), you'll still use the camera, microphone and audio from your computer, laptop, or mobile phone. Please make sure your casting device (computer/laptop or mobile phone) isn't muted. Casting from a different device and rebooting your Chromecast might also help.

Note: Performance on TVs may vary. Check out this support website article for additional information.
