Connecting Chromecast

I read somewhere about the 'infinite loop's, but it wouldn't let me respond. I'm having the same issue and if I got to my wifi settings on my phone and connect to my Chromecast it kicks me back off the wifi. Then after I connected to the Chromecast then I go back to the Google home app and it wants me to reconnect to the Wi-Fi was disconnects me from the Chromecast again..smh!

Thanks for reaching out — let’s see what’s going on. A few questions: what Chromecast device are we working on? Are we trying to set up the Chromecast for the first time, or was it already set up and you just changed your Wi-Fi settings? Also, what steps have you taken so far? Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

Plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
Reset your Chromecast device

I only have one HDMI port. And I've reset the Chromecast too

Chiming in, could you tell us what type of Chromecast device you have? How far is your router from your TV? Are you using a dual-band router? Have you tried using a different phone/tablet?
