Well I'm living with other people , how do I hide what's playing on my chromecast

You're in luck. There's a setting.

Go into the Google Home app and locate the Chromecast. Tap on it.

In the upper right corner, there is a settings cog, tap that to open settings.

Tap "Recognition and Sharing"

You should see an item titled "Let others see what I am casting." You want that to be never.

Hopefully, you see all of those options. That should take care of the problem.
