Remote for Chromecast with Google TV is Junk

I am praying that someone in the community has an alternative. I went from a Chromecast Ultra to Chromecast for Google TV just because I wanted a remote. But the wheel along with the button in the center work pitifully. The wheel sticks when I press up, and it is way too easy to slide off center and move instead of enter. Is there an alternative remote or a software answer for iOS? Android TV for iOS can't see my Chrome cast )-B

It sounds like you might have a defective remote. Contact Google for a warranty replacement.

There is a software remote option that was just released, but it's only available for Android phones.

I HATE the chromecast remote. They are flimsy and cheaply made. Isn’t there some other option (besides android phone) for a decent remote that is compatible??!!!!
