Chromecast set up issues

I can't complete set up of chromecast in new home. I have a new internet provider and wi-fi network. Chromecast (gen 3) plugged into TV. TV shows "can't connect to Wi-FI" . code F6A5. TV also shows name of old (prior) network at bottom right of screen. I think the chromecast device (lugged into my TV) is stubbornly looking for my prior wi-fi and ineternet network.. I have been trying for hours trawling through troubleshooting directions to no avail. Any help is appreciated

Additional information. Various troubleshooter information suggests a factory reset of the chromecast device.. Part of the advice is

Open the Google Home app .
Touch and hold your device's tile. What does "device's tile" mean?

Hi KenWR,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. If factory reset can’t be done from the Google Home app, try to do it directly from the Chromecast device.
