Resolution setting disappeared

There used to be a setting in Display that could change the resolution from 720 to 1080 but literally it has disappeared a coût of hours ago!

does anyone know what’s going on here? I have the latest chrome cast but not the 4K one

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. For Chromecast with Google TV (4K/HD), you can navigate using the remote to Settings > Display and Sound > Resolution. Change it to your own preference as long as the TV can support the particular option.

Thanks for the details. Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

Check for available updates.
Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
Reboot your Chromecast device.
If it fails, try a factory reset, then re-setup.

I’ve tried the factory setting, but it doesn’t seem to work.

May it does for the Chromecast with 4k, but for the one without the options seem to have disappeared somehow.

I have firmware version: 1.61.329909
Kernel version: 4.9.269

For the last few days, when I turn on the TV it shows me a resolution of 1080p, which is different from what it has been showing me all the last months which is a resolution of 720p.
There is still no option to change the resolution but it doesn't matter to me.
