Can't open setting in Chromecast

I have unplugged and then replug the Chromecast before. However, whenever I click on the setting icon, I've just got bounced off. Everything else are working fine, until my physical remote was unpaired recently. Without the setting function, I can't forget the old remote and pair it up again.

Please advise how to get the setting function back up again.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Since you’ve already tried those steps, you can do a factory reset and set it up from scratch. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for checking in. Let me try factory reset later. Haven't find the time to try it (as I will need to do all the setting all over again...)

Hi Kimy,

I have tried factory reset on my device. This time, I even have used Google home app during the setup. However, I still could get to the setting page after Chromecast has been setup. It just bounced me off to the home page whenever I click on setting.

As I have chosen Traditional Chinese as the language for my Chromecast, could that be the cause of the issue?
