Chrome cast with google tv does not hide content

I just installed my Chrome cast with google TV. After installation I reviewed the showed content and marked them 'bekeken' (dutch for 'Watched it'). But after that nothing is happening: I still see that content, also after restart.

I saw an old post from a year ago regarding this problem, so is this problem after a year still not solved ar is there something a can do?

Where does it show up for you? The recommendationds on the home page or elsewhere?

On the home screen, recommendations. F.e. the moviee 'Hail, Caesar' is marked 'bekeken' (dutch for Watched)

@Peeter, thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Is this happening in one movie/show only or in multiple movies/shows? Is this happening only on this app or across all apps?

Since you’ve tried some steps, give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

Check in Google TV Settings > Accounts and Sign In > Content preference, then apply the changes you want.
Try to log out of your account on the affected app, then log back in.
Try a factory reset, then re-setup.
