Ambient Mode is broken on Chromecast HD w/ GTV. As has been reported intermittently, the option to have Ambient Mode display our on wphotos from Google Photos has entirely dissappeared from the settings options, whether accessed via Home app on a device or on TV screen through the dongle's direct interface.

Could you verify there is no update available to see if this fixes things?

Sometimes you to check twice to see an update.

My CCHDwGTV software is up to date (I just checked again now to confirm), and still the earlier, properly-working option to show one's own pictures in Ambient Mode (which still works fine on my old first gen Chromecast puck!) no longer exists as an option.

Yes, most updated version, whatever patch is available this very minute. Lots of people are reporting this all over the web.
