So is there any player-app that supports Dolby Vision and I can install on CCGTV?

Dolby Vision is recognized fine for the TV when I play a Dolby Vision movie from Netflix

But if I play it from any other player, Dolby Vision is not recognized. And you can tell dynamic range is worse.

Is this expected or is there a workaround to it?

Similar problem for Dolby Atmos with sound.

The software player used has to support Dolby Vision also. If it doesn't, you won't get Dolby Vision.

Yes it will (the mobile version) and it also allows you to create your own server. Just read its documentation before you use it.
