Chromecast remote not working

My chromecast voice remote suddenly stop working today. It still fine 2 days ago, I watched movie etc. Just today it's not working, it can't turn the chromecast on. I tried to reset the remote, push the 'home' & 'back' button together, removing batteries put it back several time, changing batteries to a newer one, still nothing. I tried resetting the chromecast itself as well.

Please help how to fix this. I don't know what else to do.

You could try a factory reset for your remote.

I did a hard reset nothing, tried the batteries from my other remote and it worked! No idea why the other batteries didn't work.

I tried this step, and the LED is indeed flashing twice. However it’s still not working. I’m not sure how to unpair it since the chromecast is not even on so I can’t go to settings etc. I can’t use my phone as virtual remote as well since (again) chromecast is not on, therefore I can’t connect the virtual remote.

Oh it's actually works now! I did the hard reset before and nothing happened, I tried it again and it worked, thanks!
