Issues with playing music on Chromecast

I’m having an issue with Spotify casting through my chromecast device and intermittently stops or interrupts my music. It’s in wifi but there’s an interference of some kind. What could it be? Trying to rule out any issues with my device.

When did this issue start happening?
How far away is the casting device when this happens?
Does this happen on any other apps, like YouTube?
How far away is the router?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
