I have got Google chromecast which worked fine. However, I have got a new router and cannot now get chromecast to work. The articles on Google are - as usual - absolutely useless. They all say something along the lines of - tap device information on the home app and then press wifi - or press favourite and then press wifi. Which would be great except when I e.g. tap device information I am not given the option to press wifi. I cannot find any way of even confirming what the wifi network that the google home app is using. There is nothing anywhere in the google home app that gives me the option of seeing what wifi network it is connected to.

Hi @pbc123

The only way is to remove it from the Google Home app and do a factory reset.

After the factory reset you need to set up like a new device.

Please try factory resetting your Chromecast.
