Casting from chrome default video player gets stuck on "chrome" logo on chromecast

Hi,

I am playing a video on my phone using the chrome browser. It uses the default video player of chrome for streaming .mp4 files.

When casting the video using the video player's built-in cast feature, my chromecast shows the chrome logo, but does not play the actual video.

Can someone please help me figure out what I am doing wrong? Tried updating both chromecast and chrome app on my android phone, but this did not seem to help.

Some extra details:

- I am using chromecast with google tv 4k

- I am casting from a pixel 6 phone

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s further look into it.

A few questions: have you tried casting a video from a cast-enabled app? How about from a different device? Is it showing the same behavior? Aside from updating the software, what are the troubleshooting steps you’ve tried on the Chromecast with Google TV device?
