Google Assistant can't find local channels in YouTube TV

Can I please get some guidance. I can't get the Google Assistant to find my local channels in YouTube TV. If I say "Watch WGN on youtube tv", I get a message stating that "I looked for WGN on Youtube TV, but it either isn't available or can't be played now.". It does this for all local channels. Others work fine. It's like Google TV doesn't bother to learn the local channels.

If anyone has experienced this and solved it, please let me know what you did.
