Chromecast Google TV: rotate screen on a portrait display

Hi,

I recently bought a display from Waveshare to connect to my RPI. The display however has a second HDMI port ... good idea to connect also my CCGTV. However, the display is by default a portrait display: resolution 1080x1920. On my RPI I can rotate the screen output so that it is displayed in landscape mode on the display.

I'm still looking for a solution for my CCGTV. If I connect it now, everything is squeezed into the 1080x1920 resolution. If I could rotate the output on the screen, it will be displayed in 1920x1080 resolution.

I tried 2 things until now:

install a screenrotation app on the Chromecast. Unfortunately, not working
connect my computer to the chromecast hrough adb and send some rotate commands. The chromecast however was complaining abut the resolution. I stopped continue testing before breaking my chromecast

A third option I found today on the internet, is an EDID emulator. Not sure if this could solve my problem.

Any support on this? Other adb commands I could try?

Unfortunately, Chromecast devices are designed for use on a regular TV in Landscape mode.

Google doesn't support any other orientation.
