topic Chromecast Built In - PCM Audio bit rates? in Streaming

I have a Sony A80J TV that I'm using as a streamer for the Amazon Music HD app that's on the TV. The app reports that the TV is only capable of 16bit/48khz going to either eARC or Toslink. Sony support states that the TV is capable of 24 bit PCM output. Is the 16/48 output a limitation of Chromecast built-in? Thanks.

For you TV model, HDMI ARC and Optical Audio output will render 2 channel PCM audio at 48 KHz/16bit only.

Hey there!

It looks like ericr2 accepted djtetei's answer, and it's been a few days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
