Hi, in our company we have 2 different networks. The first is for employees and the second is for Guests.
We connected Chromecast to the Guest network. We set TCP ports 8008-8009, TCP/8443, and UDP/32768-61000, and ALL UDP ports from the employee network to the network with Chromecast. But I can't find the Chromecast in any device in the employee network. What should we set more?

Hi Mark29,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. The Chromecast devices don't really require port forwarding. It is intended to work on regular home WiFi (WLAN). Anything more complex than that may cause communication failure. Let us know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Hello Mark29,

The Chromecast device is intended to work on a home WiFi setup. But we understand that a security breach might happen if an office/business network is reduced to a simple WLAN setup. You can probably add a router/access point with a regular WLAN setup that has its own SSID and password and have others connect to it if they desire to cast on the TV. I hope this helps. Let us know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Kimy
