      <title>Chromecast No Signal Try Different Input</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Every other day I turn on my tv, the screen is blank and a small label in the corner says, "No Signal.&amp;nbsp; Try Different Input"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only thing that seems to work is to unplug the chromecast power from the back of the tv and replug it, which should not be the solution here.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Devices:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Chromecast 4k (purchased 7/2023)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sony Bravia (purchased 11/2022)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sonos bar (2017)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use the chromecast remote to turn on everything.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So far it has only happened on this Sony Bravia tv - not on my newer samsung tv (we we don't watch the samsung too often so can't be completely sure about this)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All products receive latest updates.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is the second chromecast to do this.&amp;nbsp; I exchanged the first one (7/2023) within 14 days because I thought I had a defective one, but it's happening to this one too.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone have this issue?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for reaching out. We know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. A few questions: when did the issue start? Were there any recent changes made? What’s the status of the LED light on your Chromecast device when the no signal pops up?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Check the HDMI connection and make sure it’s fully plugged into the TV’s HDMI port.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Make sure the TV is tuned to the same HDMI input where the Chromecast is plugged in.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;If applicable, try another HDMI port on the TV.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Check if your&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://goo.gle/3qAuJtX." target="_blank"&gt;HDMI cable is compatible.&lt;/A&gt;
  &lt;OL&gt;
   &lt;LI&gt;Note: Since you have a Chromecast with Google TV (4K), make sure the HDMI cable supports 4K and HDMI 2.0. For more information, go to&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://goo.gle/3qAuJtX." target="_blank"&gt;Requirements for Chromecast devices.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To answer your questions:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-The issue started within days&amp;nbsp; of installing for both the first chromecast and this second one.&amp;nbsp; I returned the first one assuming it was defective and purchased this one, but have the exact same issue.&amp;nbsp; First one purchased in July 2023 and this second one at the beginning of August 2023.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-No changed made other than adding/using the Chromecast.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Have not been able to check the status light as it's behind the television and not easily visible.&amp;nbsp; I will check next time it happens.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Fully plugged in&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. TV is tuned to&amp;nbsp; same input&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. Will try another port&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4.&amp;nbsp; I'm using the chromecast-included HDMI cable&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5. All updates have been installed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;6. All updates have been installed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;7. I have a chromecast (purchased 7/2023) on a samsung that has yet to have this issue.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A google search brought me to an entire thread dedicated to this very issue with dozens of people with the same problem, so it's definitely not just me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Okay, my neighbor - he owns a company that does smart home devices as well as audio/visual/whole home entertainment- he works with chromecast and google smart home almost exclusively and has had this happen to some of his own clients, did this:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Changed the remote from using HDMI CEC to use Sony IR to power everything on/off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It has been 5 days and "no signal check input"&amp;nbsp; issues!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To summarize:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Sony TV&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-4K Chromecast&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Sonos Soundbar&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Use chromcast remote to power on/off devices&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Would get a message on tv screen upon power on that would say, "no signal.&amp;nbsp; Check external input..." almost every time we powered on the tv.&amp;nbsp; 4K Chomecast was new and updated so we thought it was faulty and exchanged it. The new one still did it, but it only happened on our Sony TV - has not happened on Chromcast 4K on our Samsung.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My smarthome techy neighbor offered the above solution.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Aside from the message no longer popping up, the remote button "Youtube" that I had assigned to power on the tv and open YoutubeTV no longer works as a "power" button, just a youtube app button now, which I'm fine with.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hopefully this works long term and helps anyone else that happens upon this thread.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
