Chromecast stuck on landscape image

I was using my chromecast fine, casting youtube like normal when I casually disconnect my stream and instead of going to my slide show- chromecast put up a picture of a landscape. I thought maybe the chromecast had switch to a default but when I open the home app, it tells me that it can not connect to the device.

It has been over 30minutes and the landscape image is unchanged, as if frozen.

I tried unplugging the device and waiting 15mins and after plugging it back in, the device immediately went back to the same exact landscape image.

If unplugging from the outlet isn't working than I am honestly clueless how to reset my device.

Hi Bingk,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. You can do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset, then proceed with setting it up from scratch. Let me know how it goes.
