Is my voice remote dead?

So my voice remote one day just stopped working.. The LED light is solid white and no matter what I do, it doesn’t flash/pulse or turn off. I’ve tried EVERYTHING the internet/Google says to try and fix it. I’ve factory reset the remote and my chromecast, which I can’t even connect to now because MY REMOTE DOENST WORK 😭 should I just buy a new one?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with your Chromecast Voice Remote. I just wanted to confirm, is this how you did the factory reset?

I'm sorry to hear about your remote issue. If you've exhausted all troubleshooting steps and it still isn't working, it might be a good idea to consider getting a replacement remote to ensure you can use your Chromecast properly. Sometimes, Top technical issues like this can be resolved with a new remote.

Hi folks,

Appreciate your help, @Alex_S and @darronclarison4.

@red_card144, kindly try this workaround and let me know how it goes:

Remove the batteries and give it a 2 to 3 minute rest.
While the batteries are out, press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds to fully drain any static power left on the chipset/motherboard of the Chromecast Voice remote, then release the button.
Let the remote rest again for 2 to 3 minutes. Take this time to unplug the Chromecast device from power and give it a 1 minute rest before you plug it back in.
Proceed with the pairing process.
After releasing it from being grounded, you can then try to factory reset the remote one last time if it still won’t pair.
