Issue using iphone hotspot to connect to Chromecast

Hi. I have been using my iphone hotspot to connect to Chromecast with my Samsung tablet (as I don't have WiFi). A few months ago this stopped working. I can't get my iphone hotspot to work between the two devices. I'm guessing something may have changed in an iphone software update to cause this? I can still connect to Chromecast if I use a Samsung phone for my hotspot (I borrowed a friend's phone to confirm this).

Does anyone have any suggestion why connecting through my iphone hotspot is no longer working and how I can get it to work again?

If you haven't already, try turning off the hotspot then turn it back on again.

If that doesn't work, have you tried turning off the iPhone, then turning it back on and turning the Wifi hotspot on?

Thanks. I did try that. I also tried resetting my Chromecast but that didn't work either.

Good to check. Try these steps on your iPhone:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
