Cast apps disappear from my laptop when I shut down.

I have an LG with Chromecast built in. I have downloaded a few Chromecast apps for my Android phone and onto My HP laptop. I have successfully connected on the phone and the laptop, but the laptop loses the cast apps and I have to start over always. HELP!!

When did this issue start happening?
Are you able to cast from Google Chrome?
What apps are you trying to cast from the laptop?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
