Constant Mini-Freezes on Chromecast

Just got a brand new Chromecast HD

No matter if I cast from my iPhone or from my MacBook, there are mini "freezes" every 10 or so seconds. It only freezes for about half a second before resuming itself, but repeats the same thing every 10ish seconds. I understand every now and then, but having it happen consistently is super annoying.

How do we resolve this? Is it my TV? Chromecast device? iOS device? Or Wifi that's at fault? (Wifi is 395 download, 29.5 upload). Never had any problems with my Firestick.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV? If it’s the version with Google TV, does it happen even when playing installed apps? What steps have you taken?

Let’s try these steps:

Reboot each involved device (TV, Chromecast, router, iPhone, and/or Macbook) to refresh communication between them.
Switch to a different HDMI port to determine if it’s isolated to that port only.
Move your Chromecast device to another TV to test.
Try a factory reset for a full clean-up, then set it up from scratch.
