Factory reset without device icon

Please, please help!

I need to factory reset my chromecast but accidentally deleted the device icon. How do i reset a device thats not found? I tried to install the device and it tells me to factory reset the device. There are no buttons on the chromecast. It was so easy to set up when i first received it. Now its a nightmare! Ugh! Please, any info would be greatly appreciated.

There is a button on the 1st Gen Chromecast device. It's TINY and hear where the power cable plugs in.

Keep in mind that Google's official support for that model has finally ended after 10 years. If you continue to have problems with it, you may want to upgrade. The new models have better processors, better wifi radios, and a design that doesn't put as much strain on your TV's HDMI port.
