Can't log out of youtube without removing account from the device

Hello, everyone.

So, I can't seem to find a way to log out of youtube without removing my account from the device. My account is used for everything else in our living room chromecast but I don't want my google account to appear on the youtube app. I tried deleting data from the app but when I open youtube again I'm still logged in. And there's no option to sign out anywhere. It's frustrating because my youtube history keeps getting filled with videos that I didn't watch and it can mess with the recommendations I get. What can I do in this case?

If the account (Gmail) that you used for login is also the same account used for YouTube, it would be the default YouTube account. I suggest you give our friends at the YouTube Help Community a shout. Different users may already know how to make this work and must have shared it.
