Chromecast 4k turns off. How do you turn it on again?

I get that the Chromecast has a never turn off option that doesn't work and Google knows about it and is apparently refusing to fix it.

Is there no other way to turn the Chromecast back on other than physically unplugging it and plugging it back in?

This is frustrating. Definitely a deal breaker.

Hi @Jcepeda00

You may want to check your TV's CEC settings for the HDMI input that you have the Chromecast in. Sometimes turning off any ECO modes will also keep the Chromecast on.

It didn't work. I still have to unplug and plug back in the Chromecast every time.

Same issue. Since none of my troubleshooting resolved the issue, I added a smart plug into the mix. Now when my CCwGTV fails to send a signal to my tv I simply toggle the smart plug off/on and all is well.

Frustrating to have to resort to this, but it’ll do till G gets around to fixing their product.
