Play Youtube Music without turning on LG TV

When playing YouTube Music from my iPhone (casting it), how can can I keep Chromecast from turning on my LG TV?

If turn the TV off, Chromecast stops playing music, when I turn the TV back on, Chromecast resumes playing music

I am using an 4K HDMI splitter where the digital audio is being sent to an amplifier.

Does anyone know how a fix?

I don't think you can do that. Even though you are using a splitter, the TV is still connected and part of the 2-way HDMI conversation.

Since your Chromecast device thinks it needs to talk to a TV, it sends the "wake up" message when it wants to start playing music. That, of course, wakes up the TV.

When you turn off the TV, the TV tells the splitter and Chromecast that it is shutting down so the Chromecast thinks you want it to stop.

I wish it would do it. Sometimes you just want a stereo and turning on a video screen needlessly is wasteful and expensive. Seems like it should know that YouTube music is making the request to chromecast. Thanks.
