where oh where has my Cast extension gone?

Not finding it in my Chrome, I visited https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/learn/tv/ ... although the link is broken in step 2, "Add the Cast extension from the Chrome Web Store", where Cast extension is a link to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-cast/boadgeojelhgndaghljhdicfkmllpafd?hl=en. Just FYI.

I don't know when that page was last updated. But, Google got rid of the extension years ago.

Casting is now built-in to Google Chrome. You don't need to add the extension anymore.

Note: this only works on the Computer version of Chrome. The phone and tablet versions of Chrome cannot cast.
