topic Casting from Meta Quest 2 to Vizio smart TV and chromecast in Streaming

I'm unable to cast my Meta Quest 2 to my Vizio smart TV, I went ahead and purchased a Google Chromecast dongle because the Meta Quest is supposed to cast to Chromecast and it still won't work. I even plugged in my Chromecast to a separate monitor to see if it was just my TV that's not working but it still doesn't pop up on my meta quest while trying to cast. I already tried all of the troubleshooting and it doesn't work. I also posted this issue in the meta forums with many other people experiencing the same issue as me. I haven't seen any solutions other than purchasing a Chromecast dongle and when I did it still didn't work. Now I'm seeing this saying meta removed the ability to cast directly from your meta quest to your tv. I don't know what to do at this point.

Hi Noahsam,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. It is usually a hit-or-miss when attempting to use an Oculus VR device on a Chromecast device. But as long as the Chromecast device is working as intended, we mostly advise our users to contact them instead. I found this online: Community support with Oculus Forums and Oculus Quest 2 and Quest. I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other concerns with your Chromecast device.

Thanks,

Kimy
