Chromecast garbled when using any Microsoft Office product on host laptop

I have a Windows 11 laptop that I use to cast to our TV. If I open a microsoft office product while casting my chromecast becomes audio completely garbled and the picture becomes jerky. I have not found any information that indicates how I can remedy this. This also happens if I do a command on the laptop such as opening the "about" information page. My chromecast is 3rd generation with firmware 1.56.291998.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround.
