Getting battery cover off remote

Is anyone else having a heck of a time getting the battery cover off the back of the remote ?

Hi SJP,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You may need to apply a little pressure downward as you slide it out. There’s like a rounded spot where you can place your thumb to press before sliding the cover out. Well in the end, I ended up slipping a thin knife into the seam and gently forcing it open enough to get a fingernail in the gap . Maybe it’s the less dexterity in my 64 year old hands, but it seems just a little too snug.
