Parental control is applicable for this, where you can set up a kid's profile. You can choose which apps can only be installed on your kids profiles and limit their viewing hours. There’s no need to go and check in their individual rooms to know if they’re watching TV because you already restricted it. This may not be applicable if the TV is shared.
