How do I clean the remote

My remote has seen a lot of use over the years and the buttons stick and sometimes are delayed in action. Does anyone have a guide to cleaning the remote to making it feel like it's new again?

Closest thing from the Article I could find that was related to my problem was this

"To clean harder-to-reach areas in and around the buttons, you can use a cotton swab dampened with the disinfecting solution. More stubborn debris lodged deeper into the keys can be dislodged with a dry toothbrush or a toothpick."

I don't think a brush will do any good, and I'm not a fan of using a tooth pick for this.

Is there a solution that involves disassembling the remote? I want to get a good cleaning beyond the surface.

Think i found my own solution by searching youtube. Found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Kj2kpyX1X4) Showing the remote with the back cover taken off (needs some sort of pry tool). Then after digging into the comments, I found this helpful one.

"since this video is absolutely useless ill tell you how to do it. First take off backplate or battery cover. 2nd Required tools Flat head that is relatively small isopropyl alcohol or anything you have that can clean without damaging DO NOT USE WATER (tool required to take off board) T5 security bit head 3rd Once the small flathead has been procured open up the remote and go to the side with the volume button. be careful on this step as the little hook holding the remote’s battery cover will break (it is ok if it breaks i broke mine doing this and theres no issue) jam your flat head up into the area and try to pry it up a little bit until you get it to lock. once it is up you will have to very slowly go around towards the back (power button side) pry all up into a position where they stay up. and repeat until all sides that are parallel to the battery bay are up. the semi stressful part is up next. you will need to be a little careful on this as it is stronger her. do the same trick as before but do not lift up all the way as i believe this might snap it. lift about half way as now it wont snap back into position. and do this all around the remote and then manually lift it up. boom you most likely have not snapped the whole board and case and you can clean. once done you can just snap em back in place. This is for if you want to remove the board to clean under. T5 bit required. there are 3 screws in the middle of the board remove them. once removed you will have these little white pins holding the board in place. You must pull them backwards until they are off the board and you must slowly pull the board up so it can go over it at the same time. i recommend starting at the end and using your flathead to push up while your pulling the white pins holding it down. you will run into maybe 8?? i forgot after closing it. after getting towards the front the one by the volume button can be a pain in the ass. if available find something tinier than your flathead to pull it back or just attempt with flathead its up to you. Once off you will eventually put it back in. you will have to repeat the exact same process but in reverse. these will snap in place if you do it right but you need to pull them back first. once done with all of them just put the screws back in for proper etiquette put them all in but not fully, once in start with the outside ones and do the middle one last to even it out. then as you know you just snap the case back on it and youre done. ask if there are any questions please as i couldnt find a video myself and i looked at some of the comments and took advice. Self repair and the ability to repair easily is good don’t forget it." - @RsgDragon

I'll try this later and report back. Not sure I have any T5 bits though.
