Screen stays black when streaming via Chrome

Hello all,

I just re-installed my Chromecast and all seems to be working fine. I can stream my Android Phone and my Android Tablet but when I start streaming my Laptop via Chrome (Win 10) the screen stays black.

The Chromecast itself is found and the box asking which source to stream appears but when I start the stream the screen turns just black.

What is even more confusing: if I turn on YouTube in my Chrome browser and start streaming the video is indeed streamed on the TV without any issues.

Maybe you could help me? Thanks in advance!

Hi 2MD,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. It may not be a Chromecast device issue since you were able to cast after all. This is more on the Chrome browser. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. Let us know how it goes.
