I couldn't get past this screen

I was setting up a new Chromecast and I'm stuck on a screen with the remote for what seems to be more than 20 mins.

Is there a way I can fix this?

You have to pair the remote. In most cases, the remote will pair automatically. But if the TV screen shows 'Start pairing', press and hold the back and home buttons on the remote until the LED light on the remote starts to pulse.
