Chromecast stopped auto play

My chromecast worked great before this recent update. Now it won't play next episode on any of my streaming apps. It even stopped on YouTube. How do I fix this problem?

I also noticed this issue starting in the last 2 weeks. Hulu will start to count down from 10 but when it hits zero instead of going to the next episode it will freeze and sit there till it times out. Sometimes it looks like the play head marker doesn’t hit the very end of the timeline but other times it’s at the end.

it’s not even consistent between the app and chromecast. App shows I hit the end, the chromecast shows I have a few min left. This happens both on iPhone11 and samsungs22. Maybe if we keep complaining they will assign someone

Since all applications are have this problem it's on Googles end. They need to roll back there update or something

Sorry for the long wait, I do apologize for the inconvenience that you're getting with your Chromecast.

I'm here to help you with some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.

- You need to reboot the Chromecast.

- Delete and install the streaming apps.

- If for some reason the problem is still there you need to do a factory reset of the Chromecast.
