Chromecast Internal Storage

I’m constantly running out of storage room on my Chromecast. I’ve deleted the Cache and all unused Apps. I’ve only installed four Apps that I actually use. When I review my Chromecast Settings - System - Storage appears to be how much room Pictures & Videos are taking up on the Internal Storage. How do I remove the Pictures & Videos?

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. I suggest you do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch to remove any corrupted files or data. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Kimy, thanks for replying. As mysterious as the unknown data appeared in Pictures and Videos, the data has now disappeared. I’m sure I didn’t do anything to fix it. Anyways it’s all fixed now!

My storage problem has returned. Photos and Videos are again taking up 2 GB of storage data. If I try to record three tv shows, I run out of storage room! Any suggestions?

Thanks for the details. Have you tried to factory reset the device? You mentioned that it got fixed without you doing anything, so I think it’s best to take action now with the steps I suggested previously. Let us know how it goes.
