Can't access settings/notifications Chromecast+Google TV

I've just done the set up for my Chromecast 4k from the HD version and it all went fine, but I can't access the settings or notifications menus. I can only move the cursor to the search function but further right presses do nothing. This works fine on the old ccgtv HD.

Why might this be happening.
