Chromecast Photo - Connect To Device

Hi,

I am unable to cast google photos on my iPhone to my Samsung TV Chrome Cast. I can cast other things such as YouTube but not google photos. This is the message I get. My Local Network Permission is turned on. Any solution or is this a bug?

Connect to Device

You’ll see available Cast devices here. Make sure Local Network Permission is turn on for Google Photos app. In Settings.

Hi Seecott!

The error message seems to be a setting issue within google photos app itself. To give permission to the app follow this help article from Apple: Enable Local Network Permissions

Hi Autumn,

Thanks for the reply. The local network is already enabled in the iPhone setting for Google Photos (Setting > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Google Photos). Not sure if this a version bug in Google Photos but it is already the latest.

It could be a software bug. Have you tried creating a new album and selected to display the photos from the albumn?
