topic Why are replies to every single potentially helpful thread disabled with a dead-end response? in Streaming

How come every time I find a thread with my exact issue, there is a useless scripted answer and then replies are disabled? It’s one thing to just not invest in customer support, but why actively prevent the community from helping each other?

Probably some stupid "data driven" business practice were an open thread is tracked like an unresolved issue. It's best to add Reddit to the end of a Bing search, yeah I said it, so you can find a community discussion there.

Keep in mind, you are NOT talking to Google here. This is an open forum and we are users who are volunteering to help other users. We do not work for Google

Old threads are locked after a while if nobody responds or posts.

If you have a question, we would be happy to try and answer.

What are you trying to do? What hardware (make and model) are you using? What have you already tried? Where are you getting stuck? Are you getting any error messages?
The more detail you give us, the better of an answer we can give you.
