Hi, reporting this for my father in law. I have captured this stutter issue using camera and we have gone through changing all the settings available without any solution from changing refresh rates etc.

Appears to affect lots of apps but BBC iPlayer is mostly what we used. I have captured a video, the video frame jumps back cira 5 seconds in this clip I captured https://photos.app.goo.gl/pFUuxwq1vEQasVQ28 Watching this in normal speed its very annoying and can happen very often.

TV Panasonic TX-L50E6B

Ethernet is connected (not using WiFi)

Playing `Cold Comfort Farm` from BBC iPlayer is the ultimate reproducer (Its an old video content so may be part of things)

Hiya CrogUk!

Thank you for posting in our community and for the video example. Don't worry though. Let's find out what could be causing this so you and your father-in-law can keep enjoying your Chromecast with Google TV.

When we encounter this kind of issue, it's related to poor Wi-Fi signal strength. However, since you have a wired connection, my recommendation is to restart your router instead.

You can also restart/reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following these steps

Go to settings.

Select System

Tap on Restart and confirm by selecting Restart once again

If that doesn't work, please follow this article on How to factory reset your Chromecast device.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel
