Unable to add TV controls to remote

I recently got a Chromecast with Google TV and I am unable to add tv controls to my remote.

I don't ever get an error message, just a spinning circle. When trying to add a device and selecting "TV", I just get a spinning circle and nothing happens.

I've made sure the remote and Chromecast firmware are up to date.

Yes, I also encountered the exact same problem, and sent feedback to Google TV, but did not receive any feedback. I am in Hongkong, and I thought it was a regional problem, but it seems that I am not the only one who has this problem.

Solved the issue by factory reseting.
