Remote pairing with tv don’t work

Hi! I’ve been googling arund to try to fix that my chromecast remote will work with my samsung tv for the power and volume buttons. Al sites said that i need to go to settings and then remote settings. I can see all the alternatives for volume, power off/on and source. When i push configure sound for example it ask which unit and i push tv. Nothing happens. When i read about it online I should be ask wich brand i have but that option never shows. I have a samsung 6:e generation tv and can connect to other devices so i dont thonk my tv is to old. What can be wrong? Thanks for any siggestions.
