Screen share from pixel to Chromecast

Hi, I'm sorry this comes off as weird. All other issues aside. Also I'm trying to do is simply screen share from my pixel to my Chromecast. Do I need Wi-Fi connection? Can't I just share from phone to Chromecast? I've had issues over the past few years with devices and accounts. I would just like to have things work. Simple + day-to-day instead of working one day and then fighting with it the next day like it has been going on for years now. if I am able to read the comment or replies to this it would be great and I will try to as I'd like to watch in peace and relax. Thanks for posting! That's correct, to cast from your Pixel device to the Chromecast, both devices should be connected to the same WiFi network. Here you have this article related to casting from a Pixel device Cast media to or from your Pixel Tablet.
